La télévision n’est plus en vacances, pratiquement toutes les séries (américaines) ont repris le chemin des studios mais quelques séries continuent à étoffer leurs distributions.
Du côté de la nouvelle série médicale de CBS avec Alex O’Loughlin (Moonlight) Three Rivers, c’est Amber Clayton qui rejoint l’équipe de médecins et d’infirmiers. Il reste à la production de trouver une remplaçante à Julia Ormond.
Pour Les Experts : Manhattan (CSI:NY), c’est Sarah Carter qui rejoint la distribution. Elle ne remplace absolument personne ; il ne faut pas s’inquiéter d’un départ. A noter que Anna Belknap sera en congé maternité pendant une partie de la saison.
Pour Beautiful Life, il est question de remplacer Mischa Barton, hospitalisée depuis une semaine. Le tournage a été retardé pour d’autres raisons et devrait commencer le 27 juillet prochain. Ceci permettra peut-être à Mlle Barton de se remettre. Sinon, il est prévu d’engager une actrice qui ne sera pas jointe à la distribution principale mais qui aura un rôle récurrent très similaire au personnage que doit interpréter Mischa Barton.
Dans Scrubs, Eliza Coupe, récurrente dans la dernière saison, obtient une promotion et rejoint donc la distribution principale. Elle sera entourée de nouveaux internes vu le départ de tous les anciens.
En ce qui concerne les acteurs invités, on aura droit à Jennie Garth dans la deuxième saison de 90210 bien que Rebecca Rand, la showrunner de la série, a annoncé à plusieurs reprises son désir de limiter au maximum la participation des anciens de Beverly Hills 90210 ; il est probable que Tori Spelling et Shannen Doherty feront aussi des apparitions. Toujours dans 90210, John Schneider a été engagé pour interpréter le rôle du beau-père de Liam (Matt Lanter).
Jorja Fox reviendra pour quelques épisodes dans la nouvelle saison des Experts (CSI).
Adam Beach aura un rôle récurrent dans Big Love ; il y interprétera le rôle de Tommy Flute, le fils de l’associé de Bill (Bill Paxton).
Dans Melrose Place, Brooke Burns interprétera pour quelques épisodes le rôle de Vanessa, la nouvelle femme de Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro), un des anciens de la première série.

Syfy annonce les dates de lancement pour Stargate Universe et Sanctuary
Stargate: Universe, la troisième série de la franchise Stargate : La porte des étoiles, sera lancée avec un épisode de deux heures le vendredi 2 octobre 2009.
Il y a deux semaines, MGM a lancé un nouveau site abritant les informations concernant les trois séries. On peut même y visiter la nouvelle porte des étoiles, complètement redessinée pour la nouvelle série. On y trouve aussi beaucoup d’interviews des acteurs de la nouvelle série et des profils des personnages.
Quant à Sanctuary, la saison 2 commencera le vendredi 9 octobre et accompagnera donc Universe pendant 13 semaines ; beaucoup d’anciens de Stargate SG1 et Stargate : Atlantis sont annoncés en invités pour cette saison 2.
En France, Sanctuary est diffusée en version multilingue sur la chaîne Sci Fi (qui devrait devenir Syfy en 2010) et les deux premières séries Stargate sont diffusées en version française sur Série Club.
